Service Description
Fractional laser skin resurfacing is a skin rejuvenation treatment that effectively penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to instigate new cell growth, promote collagen cells to generate and improve the inner support structure of your skin. This treatment is performed for acne scarring, sun damage, melasma, loss of volume, fine lines and wrinkles, surgical scars and stretch marks. The Cynosure 1540 laser targets water within the skin and safe to use on all skin tones. Treatment areas include the face, chest, hands, or anywhere on the body scars/stretch marks are present. For this treatment a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin and left to penetrate for 20 minutes. With this numbing you will feel only mild discomfort from the laser. Post treatment, you can expect to be pink and slightly swollen for 2-3 days, with minimal skin sloughing. This treatment is non-ablative, meaning there are no open wounds to heal with minimal discomfort and downtime. A mineral makeup and SPF can be applied the next day. This treatment itself is quick and often paired with medical grade skincare and other laser treatments such as the IPL.
