About PRP Hair Loss

Benefits

Non-surgical solution to reduce hair loss with no downtime

Minimally invasive

Activates inactive hair follicles that have gone dormant

Strengthens other follicles with the PRP proteins to decrease hair loss

It is estimated that over 80 million men and women in North America suffer from some form of hair loss & thinning.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a simple non-surgical treatment that can help reduce hair loss and also result in up to 30% more thicker healthier hair growth.

PRP is an effective treatment option for women that have diffuse thinning over the scalp and men with early hair loss that are not yet candidates for hair transplants.

How it works

What to Expect

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been used for decades in various medical disciplines such as sports medicine, orthopedics, oral surgery, and neurosurgery to repair and regenerate damaged tissues. PRP has been proven effective in slowing hair loss and improving scalp hair caliber and density. It is especially useful in combating thinning hair before complete baldness.

PRP is extracted from the patient’s own blood and a result of this, there is virtually no risk of allergic reactions or side effects. Within your PRP there are hundreds of growth factors that stimulate hair growth and rejuvenate the scalp tissues.

After the blood draw has been completed, your nurse will assess and cleanse the area to be treated and identifying areas of hair loss and hair thinning. The PRP will be administered into the scalp with a small needle, covering the areas that needs restoration. You will feel moderate discomfort, and some sensitivity with very few side effects if any. This treatment is best done in a series of 3 sessions initially, spaced 1 month apart, followed by 6 month maintenance. Hair regrowth will happen slowly, and you can expect to see a noticeable improvement 6 months after your initial treatment. PRP has become a popular method of restoring hair growth naturally!
